Sean Bell is a Boxing Ontario registered coach, experienced amateur boxer, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt, and boxing instructor at Tanuki Martial Arts in Toronto. With a background in both striking and grappling, Sean brings a well-rounded combat sports perspective to the Tanuki boxing program.
Sean developed his boxing skills through years of amateur competition, representing both the Unitas Boxing Team and K.O. King Boxing Team. His experience as a competitive boxer gives him a deep understanding of boxing fundamentals, including footwork, defense, timing, distance management, conditioning, and technical development.
Before joining Tanuki Martial Arts, Sean served as a youth boxing coach at Cabbagetown Boxing Club, a historic Toronto boxing community known for developing athletes and supporting youth through the sport of boxing. He continues to bring that same focus on mentorship, skill development, and creating a positive training environment for athletes of all ages.
In addition to boxing, Sean is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt under Professor Cesar Rezek and has trained with many respected martial arts instructors. His experience in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and boxing allows him to provide students with a broader understanding of martial arts, movement, and combat sports.
At Tanuki Martial Arts, Sean teaches boxing with an emphasis on strong fundamentals, practical technique, confidence building, and athletic development. Whether students are beginners looking to learn boxing for fitness or experienced athletes looking to improve their skills, Sean helps each person develop their abilities in a supportive and challenging environment.
